Wat Chang Deng

Note: I have visited many Siam temples in Kedah here as well as some in Thailand, you can see them all in forum thread by follow the link here (required login), but previously i take photo using DC, this is the recent visit with photo taken using DSLR camera, which is the reason why i post in this photography blog.

Wat Chang Deng is very closed to Wat Lamdin, i mean real closed like 500m only. I entered this temple on the way back after exit from Wat Lamdin, my GPS device alerted me on it.

This temple was built on a big open space, few smaller size of building located very far from each other. After i came back i search the internet for the info of it and happened to know that this temple is actually the very first temple where LP Lingdum first pursue his religious studies under Phra Ajahn Oon, Wat Phakhla (now known as Wat Chang Deng) at the age of 13.

Statue of LP Lingdum remarked that he was a proud student of this temple. When i was there i cant find the abbot of this temple, maybe he is resting somewhere i didnt intended to find out. I like the monk hut there, made by wood located beside bamboo forest, i guess it must be special feeling if stay there.
