Samnak Ratchakhiri (Wat Bukit Perak)

Note: Old forum thread from my forum at http://www.megaads.info/forum/viewthread.php?tid=2177&extra=page%3D2. Photo taken using DC.

This temple is kinda special, located just beside the road but environment very nice, mountain at the back, fresh air and tranquilly. Passed through this temple few times, stop by once but was told the abbot not around, today revisited it and find the face of abbot is quite familiar, saw him before during the WSS Yok Chuar Fa event, ask the people there what is his name, they said they call him Phra Khru.

I reach there around 12 something, they are having lunch chanting in the hall with few devotees, after they done chanting then only i go inside the main hall to snap photo around. Saw Phra Kru but didnt get the chance to interview him cause he is going to have lunch. Lot of chinese devotees for this size of temple, i ask 1 of the family where they came from, they said they from penang, i then asked again why came from so far away to this temple, anything special with this abbot? They said they are regular devotees here, get to know this abbot from their friend. I asked if their friend received extraordinary experience from this abbot, if not why came along from penang to here, they just smile and said dont know.

Picture above is Phra Kru, he is preparing for lunch so i just snap his photo before he go to eat in kitchen with the rest of monk. He had long hour of lunch time, i couldnt wait cause got something to do, so was unable to talk with him. Saw few cars keep coming, apparently he got many devotees from other place, seeing there is no villages near by, i guess like WSS else, this temple has been supported by devotees outside.

Temple area consider as narrow, but environment here very nice, chill air and lot of plants. There is no ubosot there, no wonder its still call as Samnak. There is a pagoda shape building there and a Kuan Yin statue.

After they are done doing lunch time chanting then only i go inside to snap photo. Inside quite dark, amulet counter at a corner but no light, cant fully see the items inside.

Now showing amulet counter, placed in a dark corner cant see clearly the item inside. Need to flash on to capture the picture.

I asked those devotee from penang if Phra Kru got created any amulet, they said they dont know, maybe not. But outside i saw a banner displaying LP Thuad amulet, since didnt get a chance to talk with Phra Kru, so info not clear.

Sleeping buddha banner inside the hall and some kayu at doorside.

They are having lunch there, while waiting i go deeper to discover more. Behind is mountain, walking on soil land with lot of trees surrounding, feeling very calm.

As i go deeper i saw there lay few smaller temple.

Few structures of this temple is under construction, notice paper show they are doing fundraising.

A small jed buddha under yellow roof very nice.

A gate still under construction.

I walk back to the main hall and find out they are still having lunch. Hm...lot and lot of people came, i couldnt wait anymore, snap few more photo and off.

Where there is chinese there is chinese style, look at those red, it shows lot of chinese devotees like to pay visit to this abbot.

This abbot has something, didnt get the chance to find out, maybe next round i'll return. Some temple you just feel like visit once, some you would return.
