Evening

The following photos taken around 7:50PM behind my house nearby paddy field. Beside of paddy field is federal highway, those light are the street lamps of highway. Unedited photos, color as it when it was captured.

Ghost Month
Adding few more evening shots taken from Ampang Dam, Alor Setar. The reason why i took the photo here today is because today is 1st of July in Chinese calendar (July 31st as in solar calender), which is the 1st day of ghost month in Chinese festival, 18 years ago one of my best friend drowned in here during the activity of school uniform club (scout), i was absent on that day, we suppose to carry out a picnic in that area. Few nights before the accident we were together, just two of us, we walked and chit chat behind his house in the evening, then suddenly the amulet he wear drop to group, he joke and said "Shit! Something bad is gonna happen to me soon! If i die one day, remember to pay me a visit in my tomb." I laughed and accused him for nonsense, you know, high school time, we always talk nonsense. Few days later, that sad incident happened...i was suppose to be there but don't know why last minute i didnt attend the activity, i received the news in the afternoon after informed by my other friend. It was sad...His body was then cremated and the ashes put in Siam Buddhist temple in Telok Wanjah. After all these days i did tried to pay him a visit but i just couldnt find the spot of his, i just roughly the area but cant recognise out the photo of him.

People said that area is dirty because a lot of unfortunate soul is looking for replacement from those who are unlucky. They did exercised out some religious rituals to calm down the souls, and the government built the fence to prevent people getting close to water. No more accident from that area for very long time until now. So today in first day of ghost month, i went there and took the photo of my friend killed site, it looks calm, i hope the same to the soul of my friend, may he rest in peace and pursue his way to the Land of ultimate bliss, sadhu...

Temple Ubosot (Wat Sungai Siput)

Below are some photos of Ubosot that still under construction at Wat Sungai Siput (Blog: http://archantia.info). I record the development progress since last year but with normal DC only until recently after i got my DSLR i then try to take the same picture with my DSLR camera. Still not very good with landscape photo, i select few and edit the color of it to provide more visual impact. For complete album of Ubosot progress click here.

Note that i never took class to learn how to shoot a good picture (i will in the future), after i blog about this temple since last year i develop my photography skill mainly for the content of that blog, as time goes i find myself fall in love with photography, or graphic maybe, i just like to see beautiful picture.

Flowers & Plants

The following flower and plant photos were taken from a temple named Wat Sungai Siput, where i'm the volunteer helper in that temple. Here to show just the plant photos only, if you want to see the other photos of this temple, visit the link above (majority DC photos only, not DSLR). Anyway, enjoy the flower found in this temple.

Above is kind of uneatable fruit known as "Bacali" by local, kids use it as "bullet" in their wood made rifle toy to shoot people.

Adding some flowers which is not taken inside temple but from paddy field behind my house.

These are some photo shoots behind my house near paddy field. Date added 09/08/2011
