Wat Thepsuwannaram (Wat Padang Peliang)

Wat Thepsuwannaram, or known as Wat Padang Peliang by the locals, is one of the "pit stop" before LP Thuad body was transferred to Thailand, they stop to rest at Wat Padang Peliang. The current abbot is Ven. Phrakhru Dhammabal Phem Ariyawangso (Than Phem), long name huh, or Phor Than Phem as how local call him. The time i reach there already 5pm something so didnt get a chance to chat with the abbot, saw him but he is in the middle of something so didnt wanna really to interrupt him.

Kg. Wat Padang Peliang, 06750 Pendang, Kedah. Or in your GPS spell the name "Wat Padang Peliang Thai Buddist Temple" it will get your there.

They got a Ubosot there.











I ask some local siam boys where is the place of LP Thuad, they said its at the back, well, after searching find out its really a distance from the main temple, in the center of a rubber estate, lot of mosquito too, but its worth to lost some blood to peak at the place where LP Thuad was once "rest"




















Above is the small temple where the coffin of LP Thuad was rest when they move his body back to Thailand. Of course there aint any temple at that time, i believe that temple was built after that. Any feeling being so "closed" to LP Thuad? Nothing really, i just felt very peaceful and calm, i like the air there, very fresh but i hate the mosquito there, lolz. Just beside of that LP Thuad temple there is a small Buddha temple too with Buddha statue sit under a photti tree, very nice, seem like he is in the meditation. 2 peice of wood at each side, dont know what they are, must be something special, cause i dont believe they got not enough funds for a proper door guardian statue.











Cant stay too long if not i'll die there eating by mosquito. Back to the main area of temple and take few more photo before i retreat.













Of course, they are building a Siam school for local, fund needed, see what you can do to help. So looked like i have accomplished yet another task of tracing LP Thuad, i've been to the temple where he stay when he was a kid and place where his crystal ball was kept, both temple at Thailand (Click Here), and here is Malaysia i heard there are few temples that link to LP Thuad body, i have visited Wat Thai Pradit Tharam (Wat Gajah, AC Nong), Wat Thepsuwannaram (This one) and i believe there are few more, will do it in the future. Im not the hardcore worshipper of LP Thuad but this legendary monk certainly worth a lot of respect for us to follow, learn and study.
