Wat Macchimaprasit (Wat Jawi - Perlis)

Note: Old forum thread from my forum at http://www.megaads.info/forum/viewthread.php?tid=2131&extra=page%3D2. Photo taken using DC.

Wat Macchimaprasit aka Wat Jawi by local, just 6KM from Wat Kampong Guar Nangka (Perlis), got to know about this temple from the email link sent to by inbox at WSS email account, the author just send the blog link for introduction but didnt mentioned anything else, so i just simply take a look but didnt actually want to find out more until 1 day when i play around my GPS i just realized its just 6KM away from Wat Kampong Guar Nangka, so yesterday i decided to pay it a visit together with the member of this forum "alorsetar".

Not really hard to get the location but make sure you have your meal first, you dont want to get there with empty stomach cause literally no proper restaurant around that area, only few malay food stall on road side.

We got there to find out that the abbot is not around, went to Thailand already. Not much info from this temple, but i like its ubosot, beautifully constructed, the statues was stunning and realistic. Infront of Ubosot is 7 days buddha, Ubosot door guided by 2 cobra snake and on top of entrance there is 4 face buddha, very unique. Highly recommend by the local siamnese temple helper to see its roof that was built by bottle, i didnt realized it until he said so, though this is not my first time to see bottle used in temple building, (saw it at Wat Charok Padang before), but still feel that its kinda special.

Bell at Ubosot, i asked the temple helper if i can ring it, he said no, only event or some ritual then only we can ring the bell.

Temple area not very big, just few place to offer incense, a kutti with the statue of former abbot i think, lersi and sangkachai outside.

A multi purpose building under construction.

Some temple area and building shots.

More info of this temple can visit its blog at http://watmacchimaprasit.blogspot.com/
