Revisited Wat Samakkhitham (Wat Changloon) today, it was a great trip, from this temple i get to know another white cloth archan, which i will cover his story later after this thread.
It was siam aunty that i know from Wat Nangka Perlis brought me to this temple couple months ago together with his husband, that i time i didnt bring along my DC so i was unable to show you guys its beautiful and unique Ubosot, but today im well equipped, took lot of photos to share with you guys here.
This temple was well known by temple of "3 heads elephant", friend of mine told me about this temple long time ago but he forgotten how to get there, his mom brought him to there to receive the 3 chop of parang behind his back for metta luck, ever since then i was curious to visit this temple to see which master is actually providing this kind of ritual to devotees. So coincidentally that after getting know of siam aunty and so happened that this temple just having a "Yok Chor Fa" event for its Ubosot few months ago, siam aunty brought me to this temple few months ago but today i go alone try to cover up more story. I dont know how to guide you there, it is located somewhere in Changlun, Jitra, i use the small village road to there, i pass by Jitra, head to Tunjang, then turn right entering a small road 15KM to Kampong Baru, after 2 juntion, i turn right at the third juntion, just a while of driving i recognize a barber shop sign board just beside a small bridge, from there i turn left in to a road that fit only i car as show on first photo above. If you want to see the location map and address, click here for the internet resources.
It is indeed a tiny narrow road that fit only 1 car, i dont know what will happen if you meet another car coming infront of you, one of you must reverse to make road or both of you get off and fight
Temple area not very big, but it is peaceful and calm there. Actually the reason why im here today is because i want to rent the LP Thop amulet that i saw during my last trip, i rent a LP Parn fish amulet from a monk there, he is from Thailand. I saw he got lot of amulets, few of them are LP Thop amulet. I told Archan Tia about this on my last trip to WSS last week, he teach me how to authenticate a genuine LP Thop amulet, so today i go there want to give it a try but unfortunately those monks werent there, according to people there, the abbot with his followers go to Alor Setar to do something. They said they will be back, so while waiting i snap some photo around.
Buddha statue in the canteen, an old monk was there when i get there, 2 people is offering Sangkatan (food offering) to this monk. This is not the abbot of this temple, he just came from Songkhla, Thailand to stay in this temple not very long ago, nice monk, i dont know what he is capable of, asked the permission to take his photo, he agreed.
In this temple you can find the offering place for the statue of: Sivali, 3 heads elephant, Sangkhacai, 4-face buddha and datok kong. Siam aunty said people like to get come here to pray for 3 heads elephant for windfall luck, this temple also name after 3 heads elephant because of that. Now look at the Ubosot, this is what i want to show you guys, so beautifully constructed, still under construction actually but as you can see it is pretty unique with chinese-japanese style, not very tall building, multi layer of roofing and inside is a very beautiful buddha statue in white color, look so clean and pure.
This ubosot just hang up its Chor Fa in a "Yok Chor Fa" event not very long ago, same event that WSS did on March this year. They still need money for the development work, so if you are kind enough please visit this temple and do your good deeds.
Some newspaper and photos taken from notice board in the temple. Recognize someone out from those photos? You can see Chao Kun Nam was here before for some ceremony.
